As the daughter of a meth dealer, Wavy knows not to trust people, not even her own parents. Struggling to raise her little brother, eight-year-old Wavy is the only responsible “adult” around. She finds peace in the starry Midwestern night sky above the fields behind her house. One night everything changes when she witnesses one of her father’s thugs, Kellen, a tattooed ex-con with a heart of gold, wreck his motorcycle. What follows is a powerful and shocking love story between two unlikely people that asks tough questions, reminding us of all the ugly and wonderful things that life has to offer.

My Review

5***** I Love You All The Way Stars!!!

It takes me a while to pick up a book that everyone is telling me I need to read.  I like going at a book on my own, not following the crowds…  This book is no exception!  What people are saying, How people are reacting, How this book impacts you, The feels you get emotionally from this book…. They are all real… You must read this book, word for word and devour the story that is being told.

Spanning over years, from an innocent 3-year-old little girl to a 21-year-old woman…we read about Wavy’s story.  First learning about Cassiopeia. Cepheus. Ursa Minor. Cygnus. Perseus. Orion.  Laying in the field looking up to the stars with Kellen.  Looking at life as only Wavy can see it.

Riding on the 1956 Panhead to and from school, feeling so protected and like she belonged there.   The only place that she wanted to be…With Kellen.  He got her, he understood her, he was her family.

This emotional roller-coaster ride I just went on made you see All the Ugly and Wonderful Things that Wavy and Kellen went through.  Even though it was tough to handle at parts, the story is told perfectly.  It makes you realize that “I’m Real.  I’m as Real as you are.  My Family is Real…Like Your Family!

Absolutely LOVED this BOOK!!!
